Flights to Crete
 

Hi there...my firends and I are trying to find the quickest way to get from Avignon to Crete for our trip in June 2007. I have found a site for Neos Air which I think flies from Italy, but they have not replied. Does anyone know of any flights/airlines which fly from from France to Crete? We are hoping to save a whole day of travelling (so far it looks like we have to go from Milan, Italy and on to Athens then on to Crete!) We have figured out our inter-island flights and ferries so this is our last key piece of planning.

Well, I've done a wee bit of research for you and the best I can do is charter flights out of Lyon.

We just flew from Nice today and I could have swore I saw flights to Crete. You might be able to take a train from Avignon to Nice and connect there as another option.

Well done Lori. There are scheduled flights from Nice to Heraklion.

OTOH, having checked, it shows as a destination on their "timetable", but it's not listed as a destination on the destinations shett; and Expedia connects (at horrendous) cost through London
