Flights from Paris (Beauvais) - - a good hour outside the city - - to Glasgow - - on www.ryanair.com - - but not to Edinburgh.

Flights to and from Dublin as an intermediate stop are so cheap you might consider making a day or two's visit in Ireland - - almost a freebie!

Best wishes,

Rex
Hi Colleen,

The only non-stop flight between Paris (CDG) and Edinburgh is Air France I and British Airways. The number of non stop flights will be limited.
You may be able to get good deals with bmi british midland , british airways or british european but these will involve a change in the UK).Other flights would be with
Ryanair offer cheaper flights but they fly from Beauvais to Glasgow Prestwick.

Hope this helps.

Hi Colleen, we took a flight from Paris to Edinburgh last August. It was through Air France and Delta codeshare.
It was as a smaller jet, and was not a bad trip at all. FYI, Judy

Thanks for the info. I need to be in Edinburgh in July for my brother's graduation from U. Edinburgh. I was hoping to use US Airways frequent flyer miles, but they tell me you can no longer use FF miles to get to Edinburgh (you used to be able to do this and fly Sabena) - so I was thinking of using them via Paris, but I am finding only airfares of $650+ between Paris and Edinburgh, which I did not want to spend since I'll already be using 50K miles.

Any other creative ideas on how to get to Edinburgh from Philadelphia cheaply with US Airways miles? I may try to fly to London or Manchester and then take the train.

Colleen, Air France use Jersey European small aircraft for the short CDG to EDI flight (I'm doing it next week). Check them out.
