Flights from Milos Greece to Rome
Does anyone know if there are flights out of Milos to Rome in May?
Thanks. -stephen. |
Milos has a tiny airport which only serves national flights with small aircrafts.
You should fly to Athens in order to connect to international flights. |
Thanks… That will work just fine. Do they have regular flights the month of May. I know some places only have flights regularly during peak season. I'm booking a hotel there for the end of May and can't see that far ahead on the Olympic airlines website

You will find 'regular' flights Athens>Milos in May but it's just too early. Use skyscanner.com and airtickets.gr to find the best prices once they're posted.

Good to hear. Can I assume Milos to Athens will have regular flights as well?

Yes, Aegean Airlines fly Milos to Athens.
They also fly to Rome :) |
Milos has one of the shortest runways in Greece, so the planes that fly to/from the island are small Dash 8-100 turboprop aircraft. If you want a connecting flight to Rome, best advice is to book both flights together on the Aegean Airlines website. If both flights are on the same ticket, the airline will be obligated to get you to Rome if there are any problems with the Milos > Athens flight.
A little extra information that may or may not interest you: the Milos route is subsidised by the government to provide an air link for the islanders to get to/from Athens. It runs year-round, but it may be several more months before next May's timetables are published. |
We are flying MIlos to Catania in October - to do that we have to fly Aegean to Athens and then Easyjet to Naples and on to Catania... but it all fits into one day fortunately. But you should be able to get a connecting Aegean flight to Rome... I don't think they have their schedules for next May up yet though.
