Flights from Belfast to Venice

I need to fly from Belfast to Venice on March 3rd and the only flights I'm finding on Kayak will take 7:40 with layovers. I didn't expect to lose an entire day traveling such a relatively short distance. Are there other airlines that fly this route--that aren't listed on Kayak? Thanks!

AFAIK there are no direct flights from Belfast to Venice. The best you are likely to have found would be through Milan, Rome or Zurich. Not sure if it suits, but could you fly from Dublin to Venice with Aer Lingus?

You sort of expected wrong. Every city pair in Europe isn't linked by non-stop flights . . .

Are Lingus only flies DUB to VCE on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It was good idea -- but that won't work. I wish it would. I guess I just lost a day in Venice.:-(

Look at easyjet flying via Luton or Gatwick

I'm not finding any easy jet flights from either Belfast airport (BHD or BFS) to VCE.

I'll be working in Belfast through that Sunday (3/2), but IF I can leave Sunday evening, another possibility is to fly BHD (7:40 PM) to Heathrow (arriving 9 PM). Stay overnight in an airport hotel and fly out of Heathrow 8:45AM Monday, arriving in Venice 11:50AM.

The question is whether it would be worth the hassle of going through customs and security again in Heathrow.

If I don't do this it would already be dark when I arrive in Venice, and I'm nervous about trying to find a hotel at night. Am I being silly?

The only flight that would leave Monday and allow us to arrive in daylight would require waking at 3:30AM--and DP has ruled that out.

You need to do 2 searches - Belfast to London Airports then London Airports to Venice. This would be two separate tickets but may work.

Also see what skyscanner.net finds

You will not go through customs/immigration because you would arrive at Heathrow on a domestic flight.

As long as you've booked your hotel, and have a plan how to get there, no reason to worry about the dark.

Thanks for all your help. Not finding anything different at skscanner, and I'd be nervous to have two separate tix--in case there's a delay or cancelation. I guess I'll be sure to have good directions, and arrive in the dark.
