Flights between Ireland and London
I am currently looking at flights on the Internet from Edinburgh to Dublin and from somewhere in ireland back to London. I've been looking at easyjet.com and ryanair.com - are these prices REAL (1.49 GBP) & 5.99 one-way ?????Has anyone flown with these airlines are they realiable?? I've also looked at Expedia their prices are considerably higher $94.00 I'm assuming $US. We are looking to fly from Edinburgh into Dublin? Out of Ireland somewhere back to London Heathrow. Any suggestions or feedback.

Sure they're real - select them and click forward and look at the fees and taxes then you get the total amount. Book it rightaway, they change quickly as soon as the flight starts to sell well. Having flown Geneva-Paris for 25 bucks (US) and Cologne-Paris for 28 Euros, I can tell you they're real, but jump in when you see them, don't wait.

For flights to/from Ireland ALWAYS check aer Lingus who do fly to Heathrow.
Neither Ryanair or Easyjet fly anywhere within an hour of Heathrow and the costs (and time) of getting to Heathrow from another London airport are nothing short of extortionate. |
I'm pretty sure that easyjet.com does not fly into Dublin. Ryanair.com does. Just be careful about all the terms & conditions. RyanAir has a very strict check in and luggage policy. You miss the check in time window, you are screwed, you have heavy luggage, you need to check luggage, you will pay dearly. Read their T&Cs VERY carefully.
Other than that, RyanAir should work great for the Edinburgh to Dublin segment. For the Dublin to London segment I would seriously consider AerLingus or BA or??? The few Euro or BP saving with RyanAir may cost you tons more once the airport transfers and the time required is considered. |

EasyJet flies Edinburgh to Belfast; and Shannon or Cork to Gatwick.
