Geez, some of us don't have the option of direct flights and we manage pretty well.

I also always get non-stops to Europe - but if the choice is connecting or losing three days, that's an inconvenience I'll gladly accept.

I agree, why can't you make a 2 hour connection? Sounds pretty spoiled.

I think it is your choice if you'd rather miss part of your vacation than make a connection, but I don't think travel insurance would cover that if you were offered a flight and declined due to a connection. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I'd say good luck on trying to collect from your insurance if you declined a flight due to that.
