Flight to Florence in June- what's the best $$ we can do?
Hello! Just found a fare on Orbitz for $700, from NYC-Florence, May 30-June 13. (travel dates not flexible).
Just curious to know if we can do better? We are a little hesitant to book with 7 months remaining to search for sales. However, it's our honeymoon, so peace of mind in having it settled might be valuable. Just don't want to kick ourselves later
I would love to know how much you paid, if you went to Florence last year.
Thanks!

Really? Thanks Ira, that's good to know! My logic would have said the opposite, which is why I'm really glad to have this board I am much more accustomed to domestic flights.
It's not non-stop (actually has two connections), but is overall a very good itinerary as far as departure and arrival times.
Thank you again for the advice!

I choose my flights for their itinerary and carrier, not the cheapest ticket.
I would never take a 2-connection flight, if a 1-stop or non-stop was available. Each time you have to go thru an airport is a hassle, subtracts valuable vacation time, plus gives more of a chance for a delay or missed connection.

There is no non-stop flight from the US directly to Florence--the airport there is small. There are a number of carriers that would offer just one connection rather than two. I'd pay a little extra if necessary to eliminate a stop.
