Flight time = Portugal to New York
Wondering about how long a flight it is from Portugal to New York...or Boston.
And what carriers? Thanks! |
Dang - I should have previewed. I meant to say -- Lisbon.

Newark to Lisbon on Continental 61/2-7 hours.
|
For LIS->EWR, add another hour over the eastbound flight, for about 7.5 in the air.
TAP Portugal on an Airbus 310 or Continental on a 757. No non-stop to Boston or JFK. |
go to www.itasoftware.com and input the origin and destination; you'll see every flight on every carrier and the times.

Thanks for the comebacks, and especially for that link! Fodorites always come through.

I have flown Continental several times LIS-EWR and they almost always arrrived ahead of schedule. Generally, they've been the first flights arriving from a European city (around 13:00 or 13:30) so there's less hassle with Immigration and Customs because of smaller crowds.
rkkwan writes: "No non-stop to Boston or JFK." That should probably read: "No Scheduled Airline non-stop to Boston ..." There's a large Portuguese population in New England (i.e., Boston, Providence, etc.) so there's a Travel Agency in Boston that contracts with Charters, mostly in summertime, between Boston and Lisbon or Boston and Azores. |
