Flight route from Cornwall to Lisbon/Porto

Looking for best flight route and see little choice without having long layovers. Need some help if someone has suggestions. Traveling in August. Traveling Aer Lingus to Newquay. Understand there is train from Penzance to London, or might consider going to Bournemouth for overnight if there is direct flight from there to either cities. Will need to return to Dublin to get my return flight to US. Many thanks for any help.

Looks like easyjet flies direct from Bristol to Lisbon, about 150 miles. Also check Exeter airport which also would be easy to get to from Newquay.

Many thanks. I've checked several sites and wasn't able to come up with anything offering a good flight route from Cornwall to Lisbon or Porto. Fares are expensive and with long layovers between connection. I will also look for a coach route out of either Newquay or some other town in Cornwall (?) that would bring me near airport with flight to Lisbon which would arrive later afternoon to enable me to get a bus onward.

I need a good map to look for bus route not far from an airport. On my last visit to St. Ives the tour bus dropped me off not far from Bristol. We left Cornwall after 9am and I think I was in Bristol after 1pm. Any help with deciding on the best route doing bus trip to get a direct flight to Liston? I will keep checking the flights. Appreciate your help.

Yes, looks like getting up to Bristol airport by Megabus or National Express is anywhere from 4 1/2 hours to 6 1/2.

Even renting a car is going to be around 3 hours. Are you going for the surfing, maybe possible to hook up with a ride share? A little chancy with a plane to catch. Leave for Bristol a day before your flight?

Keep watching for flights out of Exeter, Lisbon or Porto might get added as you're going to be flying in the summer season.

Thank you all for responding. I'm traveling Aer Lingus to Newquay from Dublin. I've been browsing several sites looking for flights and might even have to book return ticket to Dublin if I can get early flight giving me enough time to transfer to their direct flight to Lisbon. It will be a long day but if I can travel without having expense of hotel it work out. Will check priceline for flights from Bristol in case something better is available. I do not like RYAN as I'll have luggage to check in and carry on bag. I have taken a few of their routes. Did not like having to push my handbag into a carryon on top of expensive eyeglasses and camera when the carryon was under the weight allowed onboard. So I avoid using Ryan mostly.

I would have preferred getting on a tour but the companies I contacted had no space for solo traveler in Aug/Sept.
Will be in touch later.
