Flight from Berlin to Frankfurt

Hi all,

Anyone know of any budget airline which flies from Berlin to Frankfurt?

Thanks!

As I mentioned on your other thread, look at www.whichbudget.com but also look at Lufthansa.

However, the train makes a lot of sense in this case, because you'll be so much more central. You can get a 29-Euro price on www.bahn.de if you book at the right time.

Would I have to purchase the Eurorail select pass in order to get is at Euro 29?

The Savings fare referred to by WillTravel is for a point-to-point discount ticket. No railpass required.

No, but you would need to book early to get the most routes at the better rates.

Those rates require you to use specific trains and don't offer refunds or exchanges. Get a seat reservation at the same time. You need to take the same credit card with you that you bought the tickets with.

I would also reommend that you use the train instead of flying as well.

I just checked out the train website. It will take more than 6 hours on the train!

Gosh! Might want to do a flight instead of it is not too expensive. Will check out Luftansa.

Where do you get six hours from Berlin to Frankfurt? I just checked the bahn.de and it's just over 4 hours unless you choose a non-direct route.

It is 4 hours...

You can try Airberlin http://www.airberlin.com/site/start....1&MARKT=US

But I also recommend to take the train. Don't forget that the trains leaves and arrives in the centre of the cities, the airports are a way outside the city. And you don't loose time with check-in/out and security controls.
I also likes to look outside the window while the landscape is passing. For me that's also a part of travelling.
And of course it's much more eco-friendly.

ICE is the highspeed-train of Germany. IC are InterCity trains.

Booking at bahn.de is allowed up to 90 days in advance for most trains within Germany. If you succeed in getting a Savings fare ticket for Berlin-Frankfurt, you can print it yourself.
