Flea Markets!
Help! What's the phrase for "Flea Market" in German? My wife & I will be going to Germany in late April/eary May and I definitely want to check out the flea markets. What do I ask? "Wo ist......?" We'll be flying into Frankfurt going slightly east, and making a clockwise loop- down to Stuttgart & Munich & back to Frankfurt- which towns' flea markets are a MUST? and when are they always/usually set up? Thanks!

There is a large flea market in Munich, on Saturdays I believe, near the Hackerbruecke S-Bahn station (one away from the central train station). It's on a large area next to the railroad tracks, and there is lots of junk for sale.

In '99 while visiting Neuschwanstein castle we found a wonderful little flea market set up in a church yard. I think we were the only Americans there!!

It was really neat, my sister & I do garage sells every weekend here in Florida, we were leaving the area heading to Salzburg & we see this flea market, we are in our element now! We are spending so much time checking out the displays we forgot where we were. We get ready to leave & look up & there in all its glory is Neuschwanstein castle, what a wonderful site it was!
