Flaminco recommendations for Seville September 29 to October 1

We will be in Seville September 29 to October 2 and understand that is the Flaminco festival. Can anyone give specific suggestions as to what shows to book on September 29, September 30 and October 1? There are 4 of us and we would love to experience this but are fairly clueless. Also recommend website for booking tickets. We are staying in the Arenal area. Thanks!

Unless you are a true aficionada (which I am not) we were perfectly satisfied at Los Gallos in the Barrio Santa Cruz. It is a short walk from where we stayed, which I also recommend...Las Casas de la Juderia. (see pix below)

The Bienal is a totally different world than the tourist oriented tablaos (flamenco restaurants), and you can be up for an unforgettable exceperience. Book as soon as possible, ticekts are eiter sold out or starting to sell out.

On Thursday 29, you could see the Spanish National Ballett and the Sevilla Symphonic Orchestra in the huge Maestranza theater. Info and online tickets: http://www.labienal.com/en/alento-za...47509765625000

On Friday 30, I recommend to see rising star Patricia Guerrero in the old world Lope de Vega theater (an attraction in itself). Info and tickets: http://www.labienal.com/en/catedral/

Plain fantastic Rocío Molina in Teatro Central on October 1 has been sold out for a couple of months already. Four hours night performance from 11pm. Use to be possible to get hold of black market tickets outside the venues: http://www.labienal.com/en/sin-titul...75195312500000

A good alternative would be to see fabulous cantaora/flamenco singer Marina Heredia in Lope de Vega on the same night: http://www.labienal.com/en/contra-las-cuerdas/

Thanks for the info. Kimhe I've looked at your recommendations and of course the ballet/orchestra, our first choice, is sold out. So that brings us to the performances in the Teatro Lope de Vega. Seats are still available in the Planta Baja or the Butacas Paraiso. What area is better?

Paraiso is in the back, and I would go for the planta baja (1st grade) tickets. We've had great excperiences here in segunda planta (second tribune) seats. Lope de Vega is a compact theater, and you'll get a great view from the tribunes, and even from the paraiso. Patricia Guerrero and/or Marina Heredia could be huge.
