Five night Ireland Trip
So, I am just beginning the planning of our trip. We are flying into Shannon on a saturday morning and out of shannon on thursday morning, so have five nights, five days. Would love to do the Conor Pass and Dingle, up to Galway to hit up the Cliffs... is this possible in our time frame?? If so, how would you suggest the route to look like?

1-Drive to Dingle (though many advise against a long drive after an all-night flight
2- Dingle 3- Burren - stay in Cliffs of Mohair 4- Galway 5- Galway- Connemara Possible but driving can be very slow along the coast. |

You could always just go to Lahinch or Doolin the first couple of nights, no real need to go to Galway. See the cliffs and enjoy the coast, explore the burren or take a day trip to one of the Aran islands. I would then work my way back down to Dingle spending a couple of nights there. Last night Adare or Ennis. |

This island is the shortest ferry ride, easy to get round or you can rent bikes. |

When? Yes I would say that Dingle is too far when folk have already been travelling up to and over 12 hours. the most tiring part of the drive is at the end. Heading to the Cilffs and staying in Galway is more than enough. My regular 5 days itinerary would be Arrive SNN head to Galway. Day 2 Galway area Day 3 Cliffs and Burren etc overnight Ennis/Limerick/Adare Day/Night 4 Dingle Day 5 end in Shannon for an early departure, Bunratty if you do the Banquet and bed, Ennis if you want a last night out for a later flight. |
I once flew from the US to Dublin, rented a car, and drove straight to Kilkenny. I would not advise repeating that mistake. Tired, driving on strange roads, and on the other side of the road is stacking the odds against yourself.
