We had fish and chips at Seashells in February and while I don't know if it's the best I've ever had, it was good and the portion size was fine. We didn't get takeaway - we dined in for lunch. I don't recall if we paid cash or used a credit card. But we didn't experience any of the poor service and poor food quality that very_disappointed experienced.
