Fish and chips in London

My friend has returned from London and has spoken about a great place to get fish and chips (not a pub). More like a whole in the wall, unbeaten path. In her pictures, I can see signs outside on the other buildings that say Jessops and Housewares. Anyone know where I talking about.
I'm headed there soon and would love some!

Can your friend give any info, like what neighborhood they were in? London is enormous.

I'm afraid both Jessops and Housewares are chains. It could be anywhere, on that info.

The Laughing Halibut, I think after reading the journal.

We all loved the fish and chips at The Laughing Halibut and walked there from Westminster Abbey.

That one is about 1/2 way between Westminster Abbey and Victoria station. Time Out rates it sort of so so.

But that review is about 2 years old . . .
