Firt time VISA applicant

Hey
I am planning to visit London for city tourism in June for 8 days. I am holding an Indian passport.
I have no travel history and I am applying for a visa for the first time. I am currently employed and have been working at my present company since September last year (7 months) and my monthly in-hand income is 26,000. Also, l have not filed my ITR. My parents will be in part supporting me financially for the stay at a hostel and other travel costs.
What are the chances that my application will be rejected on the grounds finance.
Thank you

Without 3 years ITR it looks highly unlikely.

I'm not immigration expert, but I wouldn't presume it is highly unlikely at all if you have proper supporting documents to show your income. Lots of young people may not have enough income to have filed tax returns for 3 years.

You don't mention that you do have documentaiton of your income, you just say what it is. You need to show monthly bank statements and a letter from your employer or something to document your income. I don't know about your parents thing, you say they are "supporting" you but to me I'd just call that giving you some money to take a trip, after all, you are only talking about 8 days.

Hi, l do have proper documentation of my salary and bank statements. It is just that l have been working since 7 months only and do not have ITR documents.

I don't know what 26,000 is (what currency?) or what an ITR is, but can't you open a travel account with your parents' signature on it, provide assurance that you are employed, and thereby guarantee that you have enough funds for an 8-day trip?

Probably rupees.

Christina is posting from an American view point -- she has no idea re issues concerning length of employment/ITR.

I would think your chances are pretty slim but hopefully alec (a Fodorite who knows a lot about visa issues) or someone else will have a better answer for you.
