All of y'all are so great! I am going to reread through this quickly in the morning to double check some things (we are leaving for the airport at 2:15 in the afternoon).

I think I've done it...most of my clothes are packed (I have one shirt in the wash) and the suitcase is just a little more than half full (it is a 21 inch roller). I will have one pair of pants on, one in my suitcase, one in my carry on, and one in my husband's suitcase (we switched a few things in case one bag gets lost). The rest is tops, a few sweaters, and two pairs of shoes. Yay!!!

Thank you again for the great advice...I appreciate all of it and the good wishes!!!

I wish you a beautiful trip McAllister. I know these last couples of days have not been easy for you but may your forget about everything and just get on your plane and dream about Europe during the flight. What ever you find you need when you arrive you will be able to purchase. Best wishes and safe and happy travels!!

Some of these pp don't know what they're talking about as far as shoes! Take BOTH pair! No one wears the same pair of shoes everyday, especially if they're female! I travel to Europe/Spain 3-4 times per/year, and I ALWAYS take too much! Remember that the shopping is GREAT! Pack only comfortable, but fashionable items which DON'T WRINKLE, IE; 1 black, pair of pants, blk. skirt, jean jacket, basic T's & White & 1 Blk Tee. Take atleast 1 or 2 Longsleeve Tee also. If you own any jeans w/spandax, take them instead of regular jeans. They don't stretch-out & loose their shape, so you'll get more wear out of them. On your next trip to Europe, go on line to: www.sanmiguelshoes.com They're handmade & inexpensive out of Mexico, but the main store is out of Austin,TX. Their called the "Cocktail-Combat Shoe", which will take you from morning-night...SERIOUSLY! COMFORT & CLASS is always my motto, and I SWEAR by them. Just size-up 1/2 size espec. for the closed-toe shoes. The main thing to remember is:
#1. You'll be carrying that bag EVERYWHERE, and it will get tyring if it's heavy.
2. You'll be mad at yourself if you don't wear everything.
3. You can't shop & bring anything back if you're case is full to start.
4. Don't take a lot of jewelry b/c it's heavy, goes-off in security. Many European Women weary scarves, and you'll learn the French, British, Spanish, Italian, etc...different ways to tie them w/a new fashion upon your return to home.
5. No one wears hardly ANY make-up over there, so don't carry a lot...you won't use it except lipstick, cover-up, & a little blush...& FACE CREAM, which you can buy Duty-FREE!

6. Try

Pack only comfortable, but fashionable items which DON'T WRINKLE, IE; 1 black, pair of pants, blk. skirt, jean jacket, basic T's & White & 1 Blk Tee, or whatever you love & feel absolutely comfortable in! Take atleast 1 or 2 Longsleeve Tee's also.It gets chilly @ night, and rains this time of year. If you own any jeans w/spandax, take them instead of regular jeans. They don't stretch-out & loose their shape, so you'll get more wear out of them. This way, you'll only need 1 pair. On your next trip to Europe, go on line to: www.sanmiguelshoes.com They're handmade & inexpensive out of Mexico, but the main store is out of Austin,TX. Their called the "Cocktail-Combat Shoe", which will take you from morning-night...SERIOUSLY! "COMFORT & CLASS", is always my motto, and I SWEAR by them! I keep several pair in Spain, so I don't have to travel w/any extra pair of shoes when I go. Just size-up 1/2 size espec. for the closed-toe shoes, & tell Kay that Amy Ashworth de Arana sent you from Fort Worth, TX. She'll get them to you the next day if you order them before 12-1 noon.

The main thing to remember is:
#1. You'll be carrying that bag EVERYWHERE, and it will get tyring if it's heavy.

2. If your hair is long, wear it in a poneytail. It's humid there, and doesn't do much for the outcome from the minute you step outside.

3. You can't shop & bring anything back if you're case is full to start.

4. Don't take a lot of jewelry b/c it's heavy, goes-off in security. Many European Women weary scarves, and you'll learn the French, British, Spanish, Italian, etc...different ways to tie them w/a new fashion upon your return to home-also takes-up no room.

5. No one wears hardly ANY make-up over there, so don't carry a lot...you won't use it except lipstick, cover-up, & a little blush...& FACE CREAM, which you can buy Duty-FREE!

6. Try to take nothing that does not go back & forth w/each other...just the basics. 2 Dressy-Casual outfits for PM, and the rest Relaxing & Comfortable. People just don't dress-up over there, except @ night maybe-

7. Comfort with Class is the Key in 1 carry-on bag & LG. Purse w/your personal items in it.By this, you also will be able to board on/off the plane faster, quicker customs, & won't have to worry about lost luggage! NO FUN, I PROMISE!

8. Do take/or purchase 1 small shoulder purse to strap across opposite shoulder to hip. You won't carry as much in your purse while you're there, and don't forget that pick-pockets are abundant in Britain!

9. Whatever you forget or don't take, you can ALWAYS BUY when you get there.

10. Relax, don't sweat it or take too much b/c you'll be MAD @ yourself! JUST HAVE A BLAST, and DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF - YOU'll LOOK BEAUTIFUL!!!

Hope this helps!! I know I always do this same stressful exact same thing, and go all the time....I am getting better though. I now "WRITE-OUT", everything I'll wear each day, and it really helps me pre-organize & not stress-out. For some reason, I always end-up wearing the same items repetively while I'm there? Also, think about what you wear @ hm when you go out that's comfortable to you. That makes it easier. If you don't wear it much @ hm, you probably won't be doing anything but lugging it around while you're there? Just remember, it's always nice to have extra-space in that case!

HAVE FUN,& BON VOYAGE!

Get a good night's sleep, have a good breakfast before your big journey.
Enjoy every moment you're there. The weather has been very good recently, lots of sun (you may need sunscreen), can be warm (T-shirt weather during the day).
