First trip Paris to Provence to Nice
For my daughters graduation we want to plan a trip from Newark International to Paris last 2 weeks in June . Both my daughter and husband have been to Paris but I haven't so would like to spend 2 days there either beginning or end of trip. Want to head to Nice with a stop in Provence. Not sure which mode of transportation is best. Want to spend 5-6 day in South then head back to Paris and take flight to Algarve Portugal where we have a family condo and stay 5 days then fly back to US from Lisbon. Total trip 15 days.
Is this doable and what is best itinerary?

Two days in Paris, especially with one of them jet-lagged, is a woefully short time.
Nice is IN Provence. Most people would take the TGV from Paris to Provence, rent a car, and drive around all the lovely areas of that (large) area of the south of France, but if all you want to do is spend time in Nice, you might want to fly from Paris on a local carrier.
Can't comment on the Portugal part, but I'd again look for a low-cost flight from Nice, maybe check www.whichbudget.com.

I agree that 2 days is an impossibly short time to spend in Paris. It is the most wonderful city, more exciting and full of things to see and do than the rest of your stops. I would try to add a day or two to Paris.

Nice is in the Coted'Azur, not Provence. Maybe do 4days in Paris, then go to the South. You could fly to Nice from Paris, and take trai from Nice to Aix-en-Provence. Maybe 3days in Aix (Provence) and then 3 days in Nice (cote d'azur ) with a day trip to eze or antibes or cannes. Then fly from nice to Portugal.

TAP flies non-stop to Lisbon from Nice so you don't need to return to Paris. Other airlines will give you one-stop connections, a little cheaper. Or you could spend a day or two in
Aix-en-Provence, and then take a shuttle bus to Marseille Provence Airport. TAP and the others run about the same service to Lisbon from there.
