First timers to Europe for honeymoon. Any transportation advice?
This will be my fiance and I's first trip to Europe. We are flying to Oslo, Norway first. We will be staying with a good buddy that lives there, so we don't need to worry about hotel cost. We'd like to make our way to Amsterdam in the Netherlands after Norway. This is where i am getting a little confused. If i have done my research correctly, a flight from Oslo to Amsterdam would be about 100 Euros, rather then taking the trains, which would have us stop at a few cities and cost about the same $.
Any advice for the cheapest / quickest way to get to Amsterdam?
From Amsterdam, we will travel to Munich, Germany.
Then from Germany, off to Florence, Italy. Then Rome, Italy.
Any advice on hotels or hostels to stay at on this trip?
Any advice in general?
Information is much appreciated, since we are newbies to all this.

Cheapest is usually by bus, but not many want to do that. I wouldn't even consider going by train, that would take a long time, maybe a day, and involve many changes, why do that.
I think a flight is the only realistic option myself.
The bus is Eurolines and involves only one transfer, but it costs a bit more than 100 euro.

Oslo-Amsterdam: According to the search engine skyscanner.com, if you book well in advance, you can fly for under $100 US on Air Baltic, Estonian Air, SAS, and Norwegian.
Amsterdam-Munich: You can get a fare under $200 US on SAS (one connection in Copenhagen). Or if you book well in advance (up to 92 days allowed) on the German Rail site, you can get a discount fare as low as €39.00 on daytime trains and €69.00 for a bunk in a 4-person couchette on the direct CNL night train.
Munich-Florence: There is a direct CNL night train and several choices for daytime trains, all requiring at least one connection in Italy. Use the German Rail site to get timetables for all routes. Book the night train on the German Rail site. Book the Munich-Italy leg on the German Rail site. Book the Italy-Florence leg on the Trenitalia site.
Florence-Rome: Book well in advance (up to 120 days allowed) on the Trenitalia site to get a Super Economy fare as low as €9.00 on a high-speed train. The base (standard) 2nd class fare is €43.00.

Oops! Since you'll be on your honeymoon, you probably won't want to share a couchette with strangers. The cheapest discount fare for a bed in a 2-person sleeper on the Ansterdam-CNL night train is €104.00.

Good info from TimS. I'd consider flying from Munich to Florence. Or to Pisa which is an easy train ride from Florence. Or fly from Munich to Rome, train to Florence and fly home out of Pisa.
Look at Skyscanner or www.whichbudget.com for cheap flights in Europe.
