First time to Italy
Will be in Rome end of August for 4 days. Can anyone recommend a B&B thats good and centrally located to Termini for approx 75 Euro or so per person. Or is this possible? Can you get a decent place for that kind of $. Anyones lodging experience is appreciated. Akso whats the best city to stay at in Cingue Terra? Any hotels you can recommend?
Thanks.....Hoseman

Close to Termini, and very close to Porta Pia I suggest you B&B SAN MICHELE www.bbsanmichele.com
In Cinque Terre I suggest you to stay in Monterosso and there a good accomodation is LOCANDA IL MAESTRALE
www.locandailmaestrale.it
Only 6 rooms and also the name of the room that I suggest you is Monterosso.
Have a lovely trip
Ciao.

Most people on this forum recommend against staying in the area near the Termini in Rome. Other locations that are more popular here are the Piazza Navonna, Campo de Fiori and Trastevere neighborhoods. If you do a search for hotels and B & Bs in Rome you should find quite a few suggestions.
I am not clear from your question whether you want a single room for 75 euros or a double for 150. The latter is probably easier to find

We were in Rome last September and enjoyed the appartment (with air conditioned!) we rented in Trastevere. For 8 nights, we paid around 115E per night (Trastevere B). (www.angelishouse.it)
Of the many advantages in renting an appartment, you save on breakfast since you have access to a fridge and you usually have access to a larger place than a B&B or a hotel room.
Angelishouse.it can also arrange to get you a cellphone for the duration of your stay for 3E/day.
You may want to do a search of other appartment rental sites. When we were looking, we found many that were renting for 100E/night. Location is important, though, as is having A/C!
Have fun!
