Orvieto is a nice hilltop town about an hour north of Rome, and easily reached by train.

Hi Hey,
I suggest flying into Venice - 3 nights, training to Rome, and flying home from there. Orvieto is a very nice hill town. See http://tinyurl.com/e68rr Train schedules and prices are at www.trenitalia.com Check www.kayak.com for airfare. Enjoy your visit. ((I)) |
Hi,
My recommendation would be Venice 3 nts Orvieto 1 nt Rome 4 nts Orvieto is wonderful, but you really should stay overnight to enjoy it to the max! Buon viaggio! |
I assume you can fly into Rome and out of Venice, or vice versa? Personally, I wouldn't pass up Florence: Venice 2 nights, Florence 2 nights, Rome 4 nights. Day-trip to Orvieto or another small town, if desired.

I love Siena! Also reachable by train.
The cathedral there is breathtaking and the town is wonderful to wander around. |
