First Time In Ireland, What Must I Do?
Hello all!
I'm traveling to Ireland in March, for the first time, and I'm hitting Dublin, Galway, and Killarney! Where are some must see things to do, places to eat, and sites to see? I'm looking forward to your responses! Thanks! |
lovindublin.com good info. Early bird dinners are great deals. The museums are free. Make reservations to see Kilmainham gaol. Watch the netflix movie Rebellion so you have a better understanding and then go to Glasnevin cemetery. I would see Christ Church, Grafton St and Music at the Cobblestone near Smithfield Sq. Good places to eat over there also. The Church is a good bar stop. I love the luas for getting around. Gobus to Galway.Just stay in the center of town. I am not sure of your interest but good day tours of area,

I said tours because your daylight hours are short and a tour of the cliffs and area would enable you to see more. Galwaytourcompany is excellent. I would wear layers for warmth, wind and rain. Inishmore would be a good day trip also.

I suggest you invest in a guidebook on Ireland. There are any number of excellent ones just have a look and see which one appeals to you. Then checkout the offerings for your intended destinations. We have no idea as to your interests which makes it difficult to advise.

Will you be there for St Patrick's day by any chance? I just figure if you are going to Ireland your interest are the same as 90% of other tourists. Great pubs, history and the most beautiful scenery. Public transportation is good imo. Kerry might be a bit warmer in March than Galway. By March 18th you will have 12 hours of daylight. That is not bad.
