In Europe, what would be your 3 top cities/places to visit with a family of 8 (tweens, teens and 40somethings)?

Part of the answer woould depend on their interests...are they castles, beaches, museums, food, foreign languages, or not.

What is the budget? What time of year? For how long?

For simplicity, London could be city #1...then add Paris/Amsterdam as cities #2/3...or do London and countryside,or...

I have travelled with our tweens/teens to Europe 4 times. For us our top cities would be Rome, Barcelona and London, but I wouldn't recommend doing those three in one trip unless you have a ton of time. But Michel gave some good questions for you to answer so we could help you better. Think through those questions and get back to us.

We've taken our teens to Europe many times. Our top three choices would be: London, Paris, Rome.

However, depending on how much time you have, I think it is always a good idea to mix cities and countryside/ resorts for some downtime, since it's easy to overload on museums and sightseeing.

For that reason, I might suggest: Paris/French Riveria, or Paris/Provence, or Rome/Amalfi Coast or Rome/Tuscany.

hi solaresmontes,

we took our kids to Paris for a day trip [much against my better judgement] and they loved it.

then a week in Rome, and they loved that too.

we're off to Venice at easter. I'm hoping for third time [equally] lucky.

regards, ann
