First class on Continental to Europe for Thanksgiving
If you are thinking about going to Europe for Thanksgiving check special prices on Continental. We just booked our trip to Paris from Gainesville via Houston. For the first class two tickets we paid $2263.00

Good info, I am sure. I just bought two coach tickets on NW from Detroit to London for Thanksgiving at $511 per ticket. Guess I would rather spend the extra money on the room and food. However admittedly will envy you your much more comfortable flight. BonVoyage to all of us. Halfpint

As with halfpint I would rather spend the money on food and lodging. I booked San Diego to London on AA for next month for $547. You did get very good prices for first class. I have flown first class on Continental. I wasn't that impressed with their service or their food.

Continental has one of the best business class services and seats in the world on its 767 and 777. Even CX and SQ regulars would admit that.
Anyways, $1,100 roundtrip BusinessFirst to Europe is an excellent deal. If my CO Elite parents weren't already going to Hong Kong, I think they would have taken up the offer.
For a start, one can earn over 15K miles by just flying IAH-CDG roundtrip all EQM. So, that's about $150 worth of value already. Add to that a couple of fine meals that would cost ~$100 at better restaurants.
And then you can actually get sleep flying over there, instead of arriving all tired, which must be worth something. So, even if you don't care about luxury or perks or status, those are enough incentives to take up on that offer.
