Firecrackers in Europe

Anyone know which countries have the most fireworks for sale to the public. In the state I live all fireworks are banned and as I am to be in Europe on July 4th, was hoping to be able to purchase firecracker/sparklers etc. somewhere in Europe when I am there.

thanx

France has a lock on the best fireworks in Europe, but why would you think you could get them on or near July 4, which is an American, and not a European, holiday?

Switzerland has great fireworks--especially around August 1 (their national independence day). I have purchased very loud aerial rockets at a fireworks factory just outside Niederried on the Brienzersee. Jinx Hoover
