Fira hotel
 

Would anyone recommend the Costa Marina villas in Fira? They say that they have an seaview and it looks nice. We are also thinking of staying at Thea studios. Can't decide which is nicer.

Country feature is only for searching, there is not a forum for every country, just one called Europe so I have no clue which hotel in which country are you talking about :)

The sea view from the Costa Marina is not a good view and is certainly NOT of the caldera but of the sea in the far distance on the east side of the island, in the opposite direction from the caldera.

Costa Marina is nicer than Thea Studios.

If you want a caldera view you will have to pay a bit more. Check the Blue Dolphins Apartments, Hotel Keti and the Villa Ilias.

We also were thinking of staying in Oia at the Oia House. How is the view there?Is How are the accommodations at the Oia House compared to Thea studios in Fira? We thought that there was a Thea studio in Oia, but they never answered our request for availability.

Old Oia Houses are good, one of the more authentic places to stay, if you want the typical Cycladic cavehouse experience..

Thea Studios in Fira are not in the best location, as the view is not of the caldera but is basically the same as from the costa Marina.

Thea Studios in Oia is a very nice place but the owners don't live on the island and their English is not so good, so getting answers during the off season has always been a bit of a problem.
