Fine Dining in Paris - Need recommendations

I will be visiting Paris in a few weeks and very much would like to try some of the world renowned cuisine from Paris. Can anyone recommend the best restaurant for me to try and the approximate amount per person? Thanks

Hi,

I don't know what the best restaurant would be for you, but I have found that any restaurant with one Michelin star is very good for beginners.

If you wish to spend $100 pp or more (without wine)on dinner try Taillevent, Alain Ducasse at the Plaza Athenee, Jules Verne atop the Eiffel Tower or Tour d'Argent for its view of Notre Dame.

Le Grand Vefour, in the Palais Royal, is a very romantic and historic Michelin starred restaurant. I don't know the price for dinner, but a year ago the prix fixe lunch was ~72 euro/person. Reserve well in advance, esp. for dinner.

There are a some Michelin 3 star restaurants in Paris and all I think would be excellent. Would recommend lunch as opposed to dinner as you can get a very nice fixed price lunch for about 60 t0 70 euro a person. A decent bottle of wine would add 35 to 60 euro.
Dinner is much more expensive with main courses easily running around 100 euro.
Lucas Carton, Le Cinq and Grand Vefour come to mind as restaurants I have eaten at recently that I can recommend. Check the Michelin guide for more information on these restaurants. The one and two starred restaurants are also quite excellent and are alittle less expensive but not by much for lunch.

Taillevent is a beautiful and fabulous restaurant that I would recommend to you for a romantic and unforgettable night in Paris.

Someday, when I am living my ideal life, I will always have been to Paris within the last year or so, and can give you first hand recommendations. Instead, I hope you will accept some suggestions from a source that won't likely steer you wrong - - http://www.patriciawells.com/paris/ptables.htm

Best wishes,

babygator72, click on restaurants at the top, then on Paris and then chose the parameters to get a list. Very simple.
