Hello,
We will be in Amsterdam for a few days, shortly after Keukenhof 2018 closes. Is there any place we can still go to see gardens or fields of tulips not too far from the city? thank you.

Same here, I arrive on the 17th. Closure seems earlier than I recall. I have been to Keukenhof twice and love it.

It will all depend on what sort of spring we have whether there will still be tulips in the field. It gets earlier every year due to climate change so I would expect them to be de-headed by that date. Keukenhof usually closes after the field have been cleared. The tulpenroute in Flevoland runs until 5 May, and after that the work of de-heading will be in full swing, unless the flowers are very late.
You may get lucky out round Keukenhof but probably you will be too late.
