Finding Romance on Holiday?
Does it add to or detract from one's travels? Can it turn into something more permanent? I'm not talking about finding sex in another country--well, OK, maybe that too, but not JUST that. Any thoughts on the fundamentals of foreign flirtation?

Only try it if you're traveling alone. If you're traveling with others, it just makes things awkward and your friends won't appreciate it. Trust me, I was the friend who was left behind in a bar, while they ran off together.

Are you into meaningless flings at home as well, or are you just planning on making this a vacation hobby? Are you willing to relocate for some man you've met for a few days? Doubtful that he'll make the move.

Wow, Sam. Interesting that you equate romance with "meaningless flings".

Well, no, not interesting, actually. Just sad for you.

If it's meant to happen it will, no matter if you're on holiday or at home.
My parents met at sea and were engaged by the time they reached London (it took 6 weeks by sea in those days!).

A former employee spent a week at some Club Med or other. Her first night there she met a guy who lived maybe five miles from her house. I've lost track of how many kids they have by now, but in answer to your question, I'd say yes, they think the experience added to their vacation!
