finding hostels in turkey!

Hey guys, I'm going to Turkey in a few weeks and I need some help. What is the best area to stay in Turkey. It's three young girls travelling and I would like to make sure the area is safe and also full of life! If it means I should spend a little extra money to stay in a nicer area I will. I would just like some recommendations. Thanks, enjoy your day!

"hostels.com" is an excellent web site. It lists several hostels in Istanbul along with discriptions, pictures, ratings, coments and maps. Have a wonderful time in Turkey

The best area to stay for seeing the most important sites is Sultanhamet.

In that area, I highly recommend the Dersaadet Hotel. It's a small independent boutique hotel, superbly run and fairly priced. Very comfortable -- with great views from the third floor rooms and the roof-top terrace (where breakfast and drinks are served).

Hope this is helpful.

You can actually find some very cheap hotels without having to go to very tight budget places, perhaps if you can tell us your actual budget some can come in with some ideas. We stayed several years back at a small hotel that was very cheap, but before draging out the info if you can tell us your budget I am sure ideas of particular places will appear
