Find Parking in Ronda?
We are going to Ronda next month. We will be driving down from Sevilla on the A376. We only have a few hours to explore Ronda (I know this isn't nearly enough, but this can't be helped--we have to get to Nerja before nightfall). We might drive back up to Ronda if we missed anything.

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to find parking? The www.turismoderonda.es website shows parking sites, but I can't place them in relation to the A376. We want to see:
Bullring, Tajo Tree-lined Ave., New Bridge, Palace of Mondragon, Philip V Arch and Arab Baths. [Any suggestions on these is appreciated; are they within walkable distance from each other?]

The map showes parking near the Tajo Ave. Is this easy to get to and out of?

Hi Becky,
The last time we were in Ronda we parked in the underground lot at the Plaza del Socorro, a very convenient lot in the heart of town from which to walk all over-just a block from the bullring, 4 blocks from the gorge at the Puente Nuevo, easy walk to the Ciudad, the Old Quarter, where the Palacio de Mondragon and Arab Baths are located-and Ronda just isn't that big. From our parking spot, we walked easily to all sites. However, it was a real bear to get in and out of because the ramp is so darn steep. In fact, going out in our too-big-for- Andalucia mini-mini van Renault Scenic, we almost crashed into the car in front of us as we started up that really steep incline before the car in front had cleared it, and that car unexpectedly stalled at the top. Memorable experience. Just be prepared. My map shows a parking lot right behind the bullring at the Paseo de Bas Infante. You could also use the parking area in front of the Reina Victoria hotel, but that's further up from the sites. Just hold your breath and fall down into the underground lot at Plaza del Socorro or try to snag a spot behind the bullring, if it's not already filled.
We love Ronda; it's a great town.

We also parked in an underground, public lot, probably the same one Maribel mentioned. It was very easy to just follow the parking signs to public parking. When we got into the underground garage, it appeared to be full. The attendant motioned for us to leave the keys and he would park it when there was room -- and he did. We were a little concerned, but all turned out to be fine. I don't think you'll have trouble.

We parked on the street just outside of town and walked in. Didn't have any problem. But we didn't have luggage in the car, so that wasn't an issue (don't know if it is for you.)
Paula

We parked under the Plaza de Socorro as well. It is centrally located and as cramped as previous posters have described. You might want to nix the baths as they are a bit of a hoof from the other attractions. I'd highly recommend lunch on the terraces of the Restaurant Don Miguel.
