Finally, the April 15 GTG in Paris!
 

We’ve finally gotten our act together! We (Joy, Diana, Paula & Bill and I) have decided to meet at 5:00 at Caf&eacute; Le Conti at 1 rue de Buci, at the corner of Buci and rue de l’Ancienne Comedie, which dead-ends at St. Germain (north side), slightly west of the Odeon metro stop. For a picture, go to http://wfb.pagesjaunes.fr/rc.cgi , put in the address and Paris twice (city and district). I’m going to try to find a blue flower for my hair (those Fodor pins are mighty small)!<BR><BR>We’d love to see more Fodorites, so come join us! If you want more info, let me know. <BR><BR>Sue<BR>

GTG april 15th <BR><BR>I have just had the pleasure of speaking to Joy who has just arrived in sunny Paris & she has convinced me to come & join you at the cafe le conti.Work permitting I will try my hardest to be there for 5 pm.Will you all have fodors pins ?? To recognise me ;I will be carrying some company logo paraphernalia & will look like I haven t had a decent nights sleep for a long time.<BR>Look forward to seeing you and any other fodorites who are also coming along.

Mark, great! It will be a pleasure to meet you. I'll have a Fodor's pin on my purse and a blue flower in my hair/ear/something. Also great to hear the word sunny used in connection with Paris!

I can't believe this i am again missing the april paris get together. This time I will not be in paris until may 24th very early in the morning. Anyone interested in a May gettoegether ? email me and we can put something together

I can hardly wait. Only three more days of work this week (two if I can finangle to take off Friday), Saturday to finish packing, and then I leave Sunday. Monday evening, I'll be sitting at Cafe Le Conti with Sue, Joy, Paulaa, Bill, and Mark. What a wonderful way to start off the trip!

Well; the GTG took place yesterday. 10 people showed up: I have photos to be sent to Sally for posting after my return on the 28th: French keyboard hard to type on: Paris; is, of course wonderful:<BR><BR>Au revoir.

Photos from the Apr 15 GTG have been mailed to Sally -- she won't be able to post until at least tomorrow but said she will let everyone know when they are posted.<BR><BR>I must have counted wrong when I previously said that 10 had showed up -- only eight in the photos: Sue (who took the lead in getting us all together), Bill and Paula, Mike and Mary, Joy, me, and Mark Harris of PariShuttle.

Mike! If you are reading this, nice to see you 'online' - I am sorry, I had forgotten about your trip to Paris. (remember me, we met briefly in London while I was on one of my 'meet and greet' trips... in January)<BR><BR>how did your Paris trip go? feel free to email me if you like. Beth, of course I remember you and I hope all is well. Have you found a job yet?! Must be tough doing all that travel (LOL).<BR>Had a great time in Paris. Beautiful April weather, great food, and friendly people (and contrary to popular belief, I found most Parisians couldn’t wait to try out their English after hearing me speak French!). Also like to add that Mark Harris at Parishuttle took really good care of us from CDG to Paris, and back again. Very professional. And no, I'm not making a dime off this, just wanted everyone to know my experience w/Parishuttle.<BR>Tell Glenn to keep taking photos day and night. Whatever he is doing someone wants (and is willing to pay for) a good picture of it. I’m trying to get a show together of my own recent work, and in the meantime I’m scrounging enough client work to pay the rent and put some away for my next trip.<BR>Good luck to you, many of us out here in “fodor land” are pulling for you.
