When are you going on your trip?
Do you already have hotel reservations? I'd definately take a day off Granada and add a day in Sevilla. If this is your first visit to Sevilla I'd budget for 3 days minimum. |
Hi my trip will be in February .I do have reservations but I can cancel if need be. I will be in Rome the week before and I thought seville would be more museums and history which is why I split my time between seville and granada. why do you feel seville is better? we like local culture.thanks

Granada is a nice city but the main draw is the Alhambra and you can easily see everything you will want to see in 2 nights.
Sevilla is the heart and soul of Spain. Great restaurants, friendly people, good museums, the Cathedral, wonderful neighborhoods for just wandering around in (Triana, Macarena, El Arenal, the Juderia). I could easily spend a week in Sevilla and still want to stay longer. Besides, in Sevilla you are staying at my favorite hotel. I first stayed at the Hotel Alminar during Semana Santa 2005, only a month after they had opened. I've returned every year since then. The location can't be beat and the staff will make you feel right at home. |
thanks your recommendations reassure me . hotel alminar had good reviews. do you know anything about the other hotels?
|
I'm sorry but I don't know anything about hotels in Ronda or Granada. I've only visited these cities once and it was my very first trip to Spain in Sept 2001. I'd suggest tripadvisor and searching on this forum for recommendation. I also use hotelsearch.com - they have great links.

Sevilla is a wonderful town but it is hyperbole to state it is the heart and soul of Spain.
As noted elsewhere, Spain is really many countries and Andalucia is but one part of Spain. |
February is a long way off, but I hope you will give us your opinions of the hotels when you return. I hope to visit Granada, Seville and Ronda next summer. I hope to use the trains rather than rental car or bus.
Thanks |
I will post a review when I return I am now going to start working on what to do in each city. thanks for the help

CathyM has the right suggestions (add a day to Sevilla by taking one from Granada). Also agree with her comments on Alminar (cheap enough, fantastic location, nice rooms).
Hope you have a good time. :) |
