Bonjour Underhill...

Merci beaucoup again for all your helpful information and recommedations. I am going to print this thread page and take it with me to Provence. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Merci, Phyllis

weather....

We will be in Provence and surrounding area from April 22nd until we leave on May 2nd. Will the weather be warm by then? I am planning on bringing the layer look so far for clothes. Do you think it will still be cool and rainy. I keep checking the weather every day, and it is really not good right now. It is supposed to rain all this week. I certainly hope we will not encounter this kind of weather when we are there.

Again thanks for your input. Phyllis

Hi Phyllis-I will be staying at hotel Suisse in June. That also sounded really nice. I think it is close to the hotel you choose. let me know how it goes. Have fun!

Phyllis,

What kind of other recommendations would you like? I could easily write a book...

I'll ask our friends near Nice to think strong good thoughts for fine weather for you--it could happen! Things should be better by late in April, but you'll need to have an umbrella just in case. We've been in Provence during major storms, and it's still fun. If you get rain, just work out a schedule for indoors--museums, long lunches, wine bars...you can still enjoy yourselves.

Hi everyone..

Well, my husband and I leave in 6 days for Paris for one night, and then the train to the south of France. We are soo looking forward to the trip. The weather so far has not been very good, but one can only hope. In any event, we will definitely have a wonderful time. Will post our experiences when we get back. Until then..a plus tard!!!!!!

Phyllis,

Sounds like you will be leaving before our winary guide is ready. So short of that, your husband should definately check out La Mas de la Dame and the Chateau Romanin which are both AOC Les Baux and Chateau de Mille, Chateau Isolette, and Chateau Val Joanis which are all Cote du Luberon for starters. Feel free to email if you want more info and bon voyage.
