I have stayed twice at the Eurostars Regina in Seville and once at the Eurostars Palace in Cordoba.
It pays to book on their website because they frequently have a room and parking rate which does not appear on Booking.com.

Elvas and Evora are i nPortugal, of course, close to Badajoz!

We were in Portugal a few years ago and did not have time to get to Evora. I have a feeling the same will happen with this trip. But we will play it by ear.

Salamanca has so much to offer that a second night would be ideal. We stayed in Cáceres, Placencia, and Trujillo; loved them all. But there was something magical about Trujillo at night! The old town monuments were so beautifully illuminated that just hanging out in the main plaza is a joy and I wish we had stayed a second night. The Parador in Trujillo is lovely.

There are so many wonderful drives into the small towns in that area we had a hard time limiting our scope. The sanctuary town of Guadalupe was a personal favorite (lots of mountain driving here but the streets are good).

That's what I'm thinking, that we can't really go wrong wherever the path may take us. We will have internet and might play some things by ear. But all of these suggestions are perfect.

This is my report on a visit to Extremadura combined with Segovia and Pedraza AND Toledo.
It was quite a drive but a great trip. One place you might want to include is the parador at Jarandilla de la Vera; this is the region of pimentón, and also near the valley of La Jerte, famous for cherries which might be in season. I LOVED this area!!! See if you can find any tips here and I am always happy to answer questions. I just got back from two weeks in Spain, so my visits must number close to 30 by now, but who is counting? No one but me, who is counting the days until my next trip to the country which I love so much!!

On the subject of driving after a long plane flight, I will say only that there is the giving of advice, which is good, and haranguing, which is not so good.

I would spend two nights in Segovia - move the rest of the trip ahead a day for each of your other destinations. From Segovia to Salamanca (one of my favorite cities!) is a fairly long drive, and an extra day to relax might be a good thing. Segovia is worth exploring for the day you will be arriving - and that will give you one more night to catch up with the time change. Then on the second day there, take a few minutes to drive to San Ildefonso to visit La Granja - which was the royal summer palace built in the 1700s. The palace was modeled after Versailles, and the interior and gardens are splendid. Tours in English are available for a nominal fee, and the collection of Flemish tapestries is beautiful. The little village of Ildefonso boasts a dish called "Judiones de La Granja" - it's a delicious bean soup that you don't find anywhere else in Spain. The restaurants near the palace serve it - it's a perfect lunch treat. Then in the evening, enjoy another night in Segovia - plenty of great little restaurants and places to wander about and explore.
