I can't tell uou how much I appreciate the help I have received from many of you so far. I have one more request. I will be in Ireland from 6-30-05 through 7-11-05. Ij this order, we are staying 2 nights each in cities/towns. Galway,Dublin,Kinsale,Killarney,1 night Dingle and 1 night Bunratty. We already have our B&B's reserved. I would appreciate some
input and suggestions on restaurants and pubs in these area's. Thanks.

Can't help with Galway, Killarney or Dublin but my recs are:
Kinsale- we ate at Blue Haven. It was good, not great and quite pricey. Also ate at the Spaniard, food was outstanding. Bulman's Pub is great!

Dingle- loved Novocento for big Italian meals, did not like the Forge. Loved the An Droichead Beag pug.

Bunratty- the first time we ate at Durty Nellies, it was great. The second time, it was not. Fun atmosphere, though. Favorite pub is the one located in the folk park. You can park at the rear entrance and walk through to the pub. Lots of Irish there. :)

We also arriving Ireland on June 30 and departing on July 11.
Today I was making a list or restaurants and pubs from this website:
http://www.irelandexpert.com/insider-tips.htm
Some of the places like Fishy Fishy Café, Guardwell, Kinsale (tel. 021-477-4453)
Or Packie's, Henry St., Kenmare (tel. 064-41508) where recommended many times before.

In Dingle, the Chart House is wonderful. We had the monk fish and it was delicious.
We ate at Kirby's in Galway. Also very good.

Hi jc;

Kinsale I can suggest The Little Skillet for dinner, food was excellent, 73 Euro including bottle of wine.

Pub - Spaniard Pub, very old, rather dungeon like, but interesting, peat fire burning, also enjoyed a pint at the Kinsale Brewery

Dingle - Doyles Seafood House
Pub - Dick Mack's Bar - part shoe repair part bar - I'm a little biased about this place as we went in at noon for a pint and came out 6 hours later. Local fishermen were just in from their catch, stories abounded and we were entranced. A great time was had by all.

Jchoate,

In Kinsale Annelie's. It is upscale but food was excellent. Blue Haven overrated.

In Dingle, We liked "Beginnish" for seafood--reasonable prices

In Dublin, Shanahan's, again upscale, but worth it. Great steakhouse, excellent service. La Mere Zou, a Provencal restaurant near St. Stephen's green was great if you like French food.

We loved Out of the Blue in Dingle. And, I agree about Dick Mack's. What a great place!

In Kinsale walk around the harbour and up the stone steps to the Spaniard, good pub, lots of locals, good craic. Or at night the tap tavern and take the ghost walk for fun. In Bunratty there is The Creamery or Kathleens, (same owner) or Durty Nellies, ( stay away) or Macs which is part of the park but is open at night. I say the creamery or Macs. Have fun

Second "out of the Blue" for FRESH seafood in Dingle. Right on the water, an old fish shop; and if there is no fresh fish that day they don't open. The langostinas (?) appetizer was to die for, and any of the fish entrees. Get reservations the night before though, we saw many turned away. They are written in the top 100 restaurants in Ireland and they are. have fun
