5 days in Killarney and 1 day in Dingle? Are you flying into Shannon and driving the same day to Dingle? If so, you might want to consider 2 days in Dingle.
I would do 2 days in Dingle, 3 days in Killarney, one day in Kilkee/Loop Head Peninsula, and 2 days in Ballyvaughan. ((b)) |
budman,
Thanks -- the reason we are spending so much time in Killarney is that it is a walking tour we are joining -- it is a 4 night tour. We are flying in and going to Dingle that day but we expect to spend most of the next day there also as we do not need to be in Killarney till 6:30. We are also flying business so I do hope for maybe 4 hours of sleep on the way over. We debated the tour but we have often found that a small guided group adds a lot to our experience and since we like hiking, we thought it would be a fun thing to do. Our travel days are set because they are ff tickets and you know how difficult it is to get them. This seemed to fit in to our time. Basically it is 3 full days in Killarney and then up to Ballyvaughan. |
Consider reading a book called Grania before you go - she was an Irish pirate during Elizabeth I reign, lived in that area, particularly on Achill. Tax season, huh? Are you a CPA like me? :)

mpkp, your final itinerary looks very good. Have a wonderful trip.

Yes Greendragon, I am and I have my own practice so the next few months will be very busy. My husband says he can even date and I wouldn't know!
|
LOL - yes, your hubbie is a 'tax season widower' like mine is :)
Of course, I work full time as a Financial Analyst, have 40 tax clients on the side, teach part time at the local comm college (Accounting, of course) and have my own art business (doing art shows on the weekends). Whew! |
