ff miles to ireland
am planning a trip to dublin next year and would like to use frequent flyer miles for two tickets in business class. can anyone tell me any airlines that have ff promotions that require less miles for two tickets as opposed to miles for two separate tickets. for example, it would be 100,000 for one business class ticket, but only 160,000 for two business class tickets. i remember that you could get this at one time. thanks for any help.

Which ff programs do you belong to?
|
to howard, i belong to several like delta and continental, but i also have american express miles that i can transfer to airlines.

First of all, I would tend to doubt that any of the airlines would have special offers using ff miles, since the ff slots--especially those for European travel--get used up fairly fast without incentives being offered.
Having said that, the best advice would seem to be to contact each of of the ff programs you belong to and ask! |
United used to have a "two for" award.
It was 120,000 miles for first to Australia but 2 form the same accoutn only 180,000. It was a great deal. When I tried to use it again, it was discontinued. I was told that they stopped the program because they didn't always have two award seats avaialble. IT was great while it lasted. |
We're going to Dublin in September... upgraded to business on Lufthansa, with United miles. I've heard Lufthansa 747 business class is quite comfortable. The only airline I know, that flies non-stop to Dublin from several cities, is Aer Lingus, which is linked with American.
