Festival in Tuscany or Umbria-June 13th??

The holiday of Corpus Domini is 60 days after easter (June 10th 2004). Spello and Bolsena are celebrating early 6th June. Orvieto is celebrating late on 19th & 20th June. Does anyone know of a town festival on the weekend closest to the holiday-13th or 14th of June?

Take a look at www.hostetler.net. This website has a pretty comprehensive list of Italy's festivals.

Hi,
How or where did you discover that the clebration would be in Spello on June 6th? I have seen lots about Corpus Domini in Orvieto for June 13th but I can't remember where...Sorry.
Try "holidays in Umbria" Also look at slowtrav.com for lots of good Umbria info.

Thanks for suggetions. Found Spello from a New York times article and went to their English website which gives the wrong date. The Italian website gives the correct date-June 6.(per an email I received back pointing out the descreptency.) The hostetler website is out of date. None of the links work. I emailed Orvieto and received a reply back from the tourist office. The June 13th date on various websites is incorrect. So I am still looking for a festival on June 13th.

Wow! You have realy done your homework.
I assume you've checked out umbriaonline.com
Also there is a page you can find by googling for "Sagre Umbria" that tells about some local festivals but many didn't have dates. It is howerver, worth a look.
Have you been to the Corpus Domini before? If we were to go to Spello would it be outrageously crowded?
Too bad our paths wpn't cross. We will be staying near Todi from June 5 to 12, then to Venice...
I can't wait.

I do not know if it will be crowded. Anne's Italy has a tour so it's possible to ask. Also Bolsenta has a more famous festival and there are many places to stay there as the town is a summer vacation place on the lake.
