Ferry or Fly Corfu / Albania / Montenegro
Hi All,
We are planning a trip to Corfu and Croatia and are thinking of spending a few days in Sarande, Albania as it's only a 30 minute ferry ride. We don't have time to take a bus or drive from there to Montenegro. Can anyone tell me what connecting ferries would take us from either Sarande or Corfu to Budva, Montenegro? Would it be better to fly from Sarande or Corfu to Podgorica International airport? Thanks in advance for the help! Laura |
How to Ferry from Corfu to Montenegro
Does anyone have advise or information on how to take connecting ferries from Corfu to Montenegro? We were also thinking of flying but see there are no direct flights. Thanks for your help!

Unless something has changed, there are no connecting ferries between Corfu or Albania to Montenegro.
Your choice would likely be bus. Edit: try to search via rome2rio.com, but double check underlying links - sometimes they are outdated. There might be an option to fly in summer season but not sure how often flights operate if they do. |
Your two threads were merged and the title slightly edited to include all three countries.

Fly from Corfu via Beofgrad or Athens to Podgorica or Tivat, either with Air Serbia or with Aegean.
Fares start around 200 USD/pax. The bus and minibus ride from Saranda to Vlora - Tirana- Shkoder - Montenegro would last a whole day. The Saranda - ferry - Corfu - plane - Montenegro solution would last 6 - 8 hrs. Corfu - Montenegro by ferry is possible once weekly, in JULY AND AUGUST ONLY: Corfu dp Monday 23.00 - Bari ar Tuesday 8.15, dp 11.00 - Bar ar Tuesday19.00 |
Thanks for the info!
We’re gonna be going in October and it looks like we’re likely gonna end up having to take buses.
