Ferry from Santorini to Mykonos

My fiance and I are going to Santorini, Mykonos and Athens for our honeymoon. We are flying into Santorini, and flying from Mykonos to Athens, but I was wondering if anyone knew the schedules and where to pre buy tickets for the ferry from Santorini to Mykonos on September 17th. We were hoping to take the earliest ferry out. Also, are we doing the right thing by pre purchasing tickets, or would it be easier to purchase tickets the day of departure.

Thank you for your help!

Here's the schedule for the only available ferry from Santorini to Mykonos on September 17.

It's not possible to book for September yet, but when it is you can do so on the Hellenic Seaways website and pick up your tickets at Pelican Travel in Fira or at the Santorini ferry port, Athinios.

My wife and I are also on the Sept 17th Flying Cat. Septemebr schedule sopened up late July. Purchased tickets on the Hellenic Seaways web site as mentioned above. Very easy to use; a confirmation e-mail with instructions on how to get ticket as listed above.

that is wonderful! and do you just arrive an hour early and pick up the tickets at the port? Or do they send them to you? Did you purchase on the above link?
thank you so much for your help!

You can pick them up at the port or for a fee have them sent to you.

how early do you recommend picking them up at the port? Is this something where you should show up 2 hours prior, or is 30 minutes prior to boarding adequate? We are going during peak season, so I would rather be more on the cautious end of things.

thank you all So much again for your help!

Cautious would be to pick tickets up at the port an hour early, in case there is a long line ahead of you. Actual boarding is very quick - most ferries arrive at the port, discharge passengers and vehicles, take aboard new passengers and vehicles, and are back underway in 20-30 minutes. Passenger-only catamarans are even quicker. :-)
