Ferry from Rhodes to Crete?
Would like to go to Crete after a week on Rhides, early October. Is there a ferry/ship to Crete? If so, is it a pleasant trip?
Would flying to Crete be better?

have you checked ferry services on the internet? I'm trying to get from sicily to malta, and have found several ferry services, by going to google, and typing in malta ferries.

There's a ferry that leaves Rhodes at 04:30 am, Tu/We/Thu/Sat, arriving in Crete at Sitia at 14:30 pm then continuing on to Agios Nikolaos before departing Crete for Piraeus.

This service is run by LANE (www.lane.gr). The service runs all year in order to serve the smaller islands between Crete and Rhodes, but is probably less frequent in winter.

Lane line ferries run that route 3x/week, and it is a very pleasant route passing islands that are worth visiting in their own right. The route is little used by tourists so does not stop in September, you can get off either in Sitia or Ag Nikolaos usually but as always check with the ticket agencies in Rhodes for exact timings.
