Ferry from Naples?
 

We are going to Positano and I heard that there is a ferry from Naples to Positano. Is this true? Is it recommended above train/bus? <BR>Thanks.

We lived in Naples for four years and I never heard of a ferry to Positano. I would recommend a tour bus so that you can see some of the beautiful Amalfi coast and Sorrento as you make your way to Positano.

There are two ferries per day from Positano to Capri and from Capri back to P. None shown from Naples to P. One could conceivably take ferry from P. to Capri and then to Naples, or in reverse. I took a hydrofoil from Naples to Sorrento, where you can catch a boat to Positano during the summer months. Hope that helps.

We will be arriving in Naples and want to put our minivan in a parking lot for four nights. Is it safe? Nothing will be inside of it as we are taking our luggage with us. How far is the parking lots to the ferry? Please let us know. [email protected]

Does anyone know if there is a ferry that goes from Sorrento to the other areas, such as Amalfi, Ichia, or Positano? Is Sorrento a could base to be, to travel to the other islands? <BR> <BR>

Hello Alice, <BR> <BR>There's one DIRECT hydrofoil service per day between Sorrento and Ischia. <BR>4 other services per day to Ischia are via Naples. <BR> <BR>There's a hydrofoil to Positano at 10.50 (via Capri) and another p.m. <BR>Otherwise there's a regular bus service. <BR> <BR>Between Positano and Amalfi there's a fast ferry every 60-90 minutes. <BR> <BR>Let me know if I can be of more help ... <BR> <BR>Steve
