Ferry from Mykonos to Santorini
 

Hi fellow Fodorites,
Having booked Esperas Room 121 after the rave reviews here next May we will be spending 4 nights in Mykonos prior. My question is am I safe booking Mykonos assuming that I will be able to get a ferry from Mykonos to Santorini on the 25th May ( Sunday)? I believe the schedule won't be out for some time yet.

Yes, you're safe. Beginning with the end of March there will be a highspeed catamaran ferry, the Hellenic Seaways FlyingCat #4 making that run every day but a couple of Wednesdays each month. That early in the year you don't even need to buy your tickets until you're on Mykonos. Just find a travel agency in Mykonos Town with the Hellenic Seaways logo in the window.

Many years ago I took the slow boat between the islands. How long does it take on a catamaran?

The FC4 takes 2.5 hours. There is no longer a direct slow ferry.

Direct, yes, non-stop, no. Check the link to the schedule I provided.
