Ferry from Kusadasi Turkey to Crete Greece?
Hi,
Looking for guidance on if it is possible at this time of year (October) to travel by ferries from Kusadasi (Turkey) to then get to Crete. I know this would take multiple ferries with stops at different Greek Islands (which we would enjoy). We can stay overnight on Islands after the ferry arrives and then leave the next day if available to catch the next ferry on the route to Crete.
We will be ready to leave Kusadasi on October 15th, 2015
Any guidance on route that would work? Preferably in the shortest number of days.
We understand the flight alternative being a quicker, easier, etc. option, but we're looking forward to the ferries.
Thanks,
Mark

Ferry from Kuşadası to Samos - http://www.meandertravel.com/ferryto...mos&m=4&md=sc4
Then Samos to the Cyclades (Vathi-Mykonos) - https://hellenicseaways.gr/en/routes/view/21/55
Then frequent ferries south, maybe via Santorini, to Crete.

Going via the Cyclades (10hrs on ferries) is going to be more direct than via Rhodes (16hrs).
5hrs 40mins Vathi-Mykonos with Hellenic, and then 2hrs each for Mykonos-Santorini and Santorini-Heraklion with SeaJets - https://www.seajets.gr/en/
Although those seajets aren't your classic ferries!

And just so you know, the SeaJets fleet has the worst reputation for reliability and punctuality. Also, if the seas are rough almost everyone gets seasick on the smaller ship, the Superjet2. Avoid it if at all possible.

I'm seeing some flights in October from Samos to Heraklion via Athens in 3.5 hours for as little as USD $67, all taxes included, depending on the date of departure. This makes the best sense of all.
