about 18 hrs Seydisfjordur, Iceland to Torshave then another 25 hrs to Denmark according to Thomas Cook timetables if i read it right.

thanks! so it's a day and a half to Torshave, stay overnight in the faroes...and then two days to denmark totalling 5 days?

The full, complex schedule is on www.smyril-line.com. In peak summer, the ship leaves Seydisfjördur on Thursdays at 1300, calls at Torshavn on Friday mornings and arrives in Hanstholm on Saturdays at 1700.
The ship, the NORRÖNA, was built in 2003 specially for the service and replaced the older, smaller ship of the same name. I haven't sailed in her myself.

great. so there is no overnight at the Faroes if you sail directly to Denmark or you stay over Friday and leave Saturday morning?
