Ferry Crete-Santorini
Hello,
I have been looking on the gtp.gr website to find ferry schedules for our trip to Greece this June. When I type in Heraklion-Santorini, I can see the schedule for June, but when I click to book, it tells me that no seats are available. I am a bit concerend about the schedule, as I have a hotel booked and cannot change the dates. Will the ferry be running on the dates/times posted?

I've been reading about booking problems with gtp.gr lately. I don't believe the ferries are full, just that the booking function is not working on the website. You can wait until you're on Crete to book anyway. It's not very busy in June. Just go into a travel agency for assistance. Also, if it's the Hellenic Seaways highspeed ferry you're trying to book, see if you can do it form their website: http://www.ferries.gr/hfd/
But again, it's not really necessary.

This web site summarises services from Crete to Santorini:

June is certainly before the peak season and you do not need to worry about having to book in advance.

FYI - I have been in touch with the travel agency for online reservations for the hi-speed ferry from Crete and the schedule for June is "not open for reservations yet" and will be in the next week or so. Same response from Hellenic seaways directly.
Hope this helps! We are in the same situation as you, we are looking to travel on the boat the first week of June and don't have the res. either.

I've been waiting to see if there will be an Agios Nikolaos ferry in mid-June to Santorini.... The travel agent has also said there rae no schedules up yet. I need to know so I can book my rental car & figure out where I will be dropping it off!

The only way I know to keep up with the changes in the ferry schedule is to log onto www.gtp.gr daily for an update. If there aren't any ferries scheduled for Ag. Nikolaos soon there probably won't be one. I hope it works out for you.

We seem to all be having the same problem. I need to get from Crete to Mykonos on June 4th and Uli still says they can't ticket since it's "not open for reservations yet". Is anyone else nervous? Leaving for Greece on the 24th and we are suppose to be getting our tickets delivered to the GB. Any advice on a back-up plan or is this common?

There's a small airlines in Crete that flies to Santorini, Mykonos, Thessaloniki, Kos and Rhodes.
