Ferry Boat to Korcula from Termoli, Italy?

I will be visiting family in Termoli with my husband and kids in tow. I was thinking it might be nice to experience a little of Croatia and noticed that Korcula is straight across the Adriatic. Does anyone recommend Korcula? From what I can see online it looks like a lovely place to visit.

I can't seem to find much ferry boat info. online. Any advice on getting a ferry? How long do you think it will take to get from Termoli to Korcula?

Last of all any accommodation recommendations are always appreciated.

Thank you fellow fodorites!

I love Korcula. It's one of my favorite places in the world. But I think the only way to get there is by boat or bus from mainland Croatia. Here's a useful site: www.korculainfo.com. You might ask your question there.

Thanks Mimar -- I appreciate your advice! I read that there was passenger, non car ferry boats from Termoli to Korcula. I am looking for a recommendation for a place to stay in Korcula as well.

I found this link: http://www.find-croatia.com/ferries-...ia-ferries.php but the link it list does not contain any schedules I can find.

You will probably have to take a ferry to Split, and then another to Korcula. Try http://www.jadrolinija.hr/default.aspx?lang=2 or http://www.snav.it

Thanks nukesafe -- I saw the same link -- unfortunately the link for Lariveralines.com does not work and I can not find a website by googling it. :(

Thanks Thursday. What is your guess as far as time to take a ferry to Italy to Split? - just a rough guess is fine.

Also have taken the Blue Line ferry Anconato Split 20
euros only regular nightly and daily ferries leave
from ancona. www.aferryto.com for all options.
Have also bused down from Trieste cheap pretty but
a long slog.

A fast catamaran named TERMOLI JET ran briefly from Termoli to Croatia, but has not run since the summer of 2010. There has been some controversy locally as the service received a lot of money from local authorities. This is the website, but I doubt whether the service will resume:

The best alternative is an overnight ship from Ancona, either Blue Line or Jadrolinija. Blue Line's ships, the DALMATIA and REGINA DELLA PACE ("Queen of Peace") are bigger and slightly newer than Jadrolinija's.
