I was in Paris from Nov. 13 to Nov. 22, 2008 and the FERRIS WHEEL WAS RUNNING.

This year's ferris wheel has enclosed cabins, which will certainly increase business on cold rainy days or nights.

Since the Champs Elysées illuminations run until January 20th, I would say there is a good chance that the ferris wheel will remain until that time as well.

If only that WERE a live webcam! Unfortunately, it's a short loop that gets refreshed every half hour or so.

As a side note, Mr. Ferris's wheel was the Chicago Exposition's answer to the Eiffel Tower.
