ferris wheel in paris

Is there still a big ferris wheel by the place de Concorde or was that just for the Y2K celebration?

No. Le Grand Roue was dismantled earlier this year.

It's gone.

Hey... we were in Paris from August 23rd to August 31st and the ferris wheel in Tuilleries Gardens, boarding rue de Rivoli, if that's the one you're thinking of, was up and running.

I was there in May and it wasn't up. Did they put it back up?

Same here, we were disappointed when we were there in March & it was no longer there. Perhaps it was just down for repairs ? Does our exchange student know the answer to this one ?

The Ferris Wheel in the Tulleries is seasonal and part of the "fun fair" every summer.

We were in Paris in September and the ferris wheel at Tuilleries was running.

We saw the wheel in the Tuilleries being disassembled Sept. 16 or so. It must be put up just during the summer. The big one in the Place de la Concorde may have been just a one time thing.

The large wheel at Pl. du Concorde was up for the millenium celebration that a few European cities had. It was taken down in January after this past new years day.

The one in the Tuilleries is as stated part of the summer fair.
